Fora Arts Collective proudly presents Jointed, our inaugural week-long group exhibition featuring 10 talented artists hailing from New York City's vibrant art community and beyond. Building on the success of our previous pop-up shows, we’re thrilled to launch an exciting fresh theme and venue.
For this show, we delve into the concept of “being jointed” and how that emerges in the arts. To be jointed is to be connected - both physically and conceptually. It is the place where singular becomes plural. Jointed emphasizes the artists experience of joining together mixed mediums, color, texture, and perspectives that push the boundaries of abstraction and figuration. Our aim is to cultivate a dialogue within the space, weaving together unique expressions to craft a wider narrative about unity and divergence.
Echoing Fora’s commitment to inclusivity and fostering community, the featured artists showcase diverse facets of both New York's creative landscape and the global art stage. Their distinctive works and artistic voices, prompt us to reflect on how individual elements coalesce to create something far greater and more profound than what could be achieved in insolation.
Ephemeral Threads
'Ephemeral Threads’ is a group exhibition featuring 27 talented artists, thoughtfully curated by New York-based art collective, Fora. After the success of our previous pop-up shows, we embark on an exciting new theme and structure for this exhibition.
Through this multi-floor thematic exploration, we aim to illuminate the contrasting and unique perspectives of the featured artists, each with their distinctive style and vision. We invite you to delve into the unique perspectives of each artist as they unveil the beauty of unseen connections through their diverse artistic mediums, celebrating the delicate interplay of emotions, memories, and the transient nature of existence.
The theme of 'Ephemeral Threads' aims to reflect the temporary and interconnected nature of human experiences, inviting viewers to contemplate the subtle threads that bind us all. As part of Fora's commitment to pushing artistic boundaries, we've expanded the scope of mediums and introduced three vendors along with a musical guest to create a fully immersive and multimedia experience.
In alignment with Fora’s mission of accessibility and community building, the featured artists represent the diverse communities and sectors of the New York art scene. After the success of our previous pop-up shows, we embark on an exciting new theme for this exhibition – 'Chaos & Order.' Through this thematic exploration, we aim to illuminate the contrasting and unique perspectives of the featured artists, each with their distinctive style and vision. This show presents the dynamic interplay between two contrasting yet inseparable forces that shape our world - Chaos and Order. This curated collection of work delves into the profound and intricate relationship between these opposing themes, showcasing how they coexist, collide, and complement each other to create a balanced and harmonious existence.

Fluidity is a group exhibition featuring 9 artists, brought to you by the up & coming art collective, Fora.
This show is the second in a series of pop up group exhibitions that are created & curated with the intention of building a community of emerging artists and creatives.
This exhibition highlights a unique selection of independent artists and their diverse interpretations to the theme of “fluidity”. Following our inaugural show, “In Transition”, “Fluidity” seeks to represent the artist’s experience with the evolution of their personal and artistic expression. In alignment with Fora’s mission of accessibility & providing a platform for artists of all backgrounds, the 9 artists in this show are representative of the various communities & sectors of the New York art scene.
In Transition
“In Transition” is Fora’s first pop-up show, featuring 12 talented artists and their interperetation on the theme.
We chose the theme "In Transition" for our first show because we wanted to select a universal experience that everyone could find meaning in. Whether it be aging, a new beginning (or end) in your personal life, or the change in seasons, everyone here has experienced a transition at some point.
